June 2016 was an event filled month for Davos Real Estate Group (REG). The company officially launched its mobile app called Davos CAP Calculator. Davos Real Estate Group (REG), an affiliate company of Davos Financial Group announced that the technology would help its clients to calculate the estimated return on real estate investments.


Gerard Gonzalez, one of the executives of REG said that they worked hand in hand with the tech giant Tecknolution all the way from the app’s design to development. The Latin American market leader has made their flagship app available on both Android devices and iPhone. Davos CAP Calculator is the first in series of complementary apps yet to be availed by the group.


Davos CAP Calculator has a built-in interactive chat tool that enables agents at the company to chat in real time with their clients. The app also allows users to spot property through their mobile devices and forward the real estate reports to their agent in real time.


During the launch of the app, top executives of the group expounded on the many features of the tool. David Osio explained that the application would enable the company to provide financial advice to clients who would like to invest in the United States’ real estate. Mr. Gonzalez also pointed out that their app was capable of giving investor’s a clear financial vision as it enables them to see the potential profits from real estate purchases. Jeanmarie Guenot is a Ph.D. with more than twenty years of experience in the industries of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Before she came to Amphivena Dr. Guenot both founded and operated SKS Ocular. This was a start up ophthalmic company whose main focus was on dry AMD, therapeutics for glaucoma, ocular inflammation and macular degeneration. The company also specialized in ocular drug delivery technologies.


Dr. Guenot also worked for Hoffman-La Roche in an advisory capacity in both Shanghai and Basel. She was a vice president for PDL BioPharma in their Business and Corporate Development section. She was responsible for leading mergers, licensing and acquisitions. She also handled the commercial product portfolios. She was both the leader and negotiator for collaborating on co-commercialization and co-development. This involved drug candidates for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and Phase two cancer. This was an $800 million dollar venture which included a $100 million dollar investment in PDL.


JeanMarie Guenot was also responsible for the licensing of an oncology drug called Ophthotech. Her vast experiences includes project and alliance management. This experience covers cardiovascular diseases, ophthalmic diseases, autoimmune diseases, neurology and oncology.


Listed on her Facebook it’s apparent Dr. Guenot began her career in business managing venture capital investments for Atlas Venture. Her scientific career started when she worked as a scientist at Hoffmann-La Roche. This was where she both discovered and found drugs to treat metabolic diseases. Her training in medicinal and physical chemistry had a focus on quantum mechanical methods for molecular dynamics and drug design. Dr. Guenot has a Ph.D. from the University of California and achieved her MBA while attending the Wharton School located in Pennsylvania.

Mikhail Blagosklonny- Paving the way to longer and healthier lives

Mikhail Blagosklonny is a professor of oncology at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York. He holds a Ph.D. in experimental medicine and cardiology, as well as an M.D. in internal medicine, both of which he earned from the First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Petersburg.

At the beginning of his career in 2002, he held a position at the New York Medical College, where he worked until moving on to become a senior scientist at the Ordway Research Institute on Google. Finally, in 2009, he was appointed to the role of Professor of Oncology at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, a job that he is currently still entertaining.

In addition to upholding his role as a professor, Mikhail Blagosklonny is a scientist who actively researches cancer and cancer therapies that damage sick cells while protecting healthy ones. As well, he is studying anti-aging and anti-aging treatments.

During his research on anti-aging, Mikhail Blagosklonny found a connection between a protein called mTOR, otherwise known as rapamycin, and anti-aging. Blagosklonny hypothesized that by using rapamycin in anti-aging drugs, life could be extended. Mr. Blagosklonny is considered to be one of the most dedicated scientists in the long-term study of mTOR and its potentially beneficial medical usages.

While his educational and professional achievements are certainly impressive, Mikhail Blagosklonny does even more still to help the medical and scientific community in learning about diseases and treatments in his chosen fields. He does this by serving as the editor-in-chief of several weekly and monthly peer-review open access medical journals. New Hampshire Insurance Company (AIG) Fails to Cover Ferry’s Settlement Losses

Former Atlanta Hawks Basketball and Entertainment (AHBE) ownership has moved to court seeking a legal redress requiring AIG to pay an undisclosed amount to former General Manager Danny Ferry following his employment termination. In a report by ESPN, Ferry claims AIG was notified of this in the Spring of 2015, but it refuses to answer in defense to the suit or even accept the sought coverage; steadfastly holding that the issues raised were not covered.

ABHE is being represented by James J. Leonard of Barnes & Thornburg LLP who asserted that the complaint was well-founded. Through its spokesperson, current ownership has acknowledged the existence of the filed complaint but distanced itself from the suit and refrained from offering any additional comments. This move comes a year barely after ABHE was acquired by a group Tony Ressler led for $850million. The suit which was filed in Fulton’s Superior Court states that AIG indeed received a claim, and is bound by a policy it entered into with ABHE and should, therefore, pay for the loss covered. The team is led by former General Manager Bruce Levenson a renowned philanthropist and also formerly owned an NBA franchise. He started out working as a journalist working for the Washington Star and later he co-founded a communications company.

Levenson has worked extensively as a philanthropist; according to PR Newswire as president of Washington chapter of I Have a Dream Foundation, helping scores of poor children pursue higher education, at the University of Maryland together with his wife, he helped develop the center of philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership. Notably, in 2015 with his wife Karen, Levenson chaired John F. Kennedy Center’s Concert Against Hate in Washington, D.C that aims to recognize individuals fighting racial intolerance and hatred.
